In 2025, CF&E entered a new phase in its investment activities, building upon its experience in early-stage and growth investments and expanding its focus into situational investment.

Over the years, our investment activities have provided us with experience across different stages of business development, from emerging companies and growth opportunities to businesses navigating periods of change. This experience has reinforced our belief that attractive investment opportunities are not always found in businesses experiencing straightforward growth. At times, they emerge from complexity, uncertainty and circumstances where capital and strategic direction can make a meaningful difference.

Through CF&E ReThink Capital™, our situational investment strategy focuses on identifying distressed, underperforming and structurally challenged businesses, as well as other special situations where there is potential for transformation and long-term value creation.

Our approach goes beyond the provision of capital. We seek opportunities where fresh capital, active ownership, strategic restructuring and disciplined execution can help address underlying challenges and establish a stronger foundation for sustainable growth.

2025 marked the beginning of a deliberate effort to build CF&E ReThink Capital™ as a dedicated investment capability within CF&E. We are actively developing the team, recruiting experienced professionals and strengthening our investment, operational and execution capabilities to support the expansion of the strategy.

As we move forward, CF&E ReThink Capital™ will continue to broaden its activities across special situations, strategic opportunities and businesses where complexity, capital requirements or changing circumstances may create an opportunity for value creation.
